I knew having my boss's wife in the office was going to be "interesting". He actually went off on her yesterday. I tried so hard not to laugh, it got so bad I had to leave the office. It wasn't even that serious that he needed to react that way. This is not going to last long.
Since my boss's wife started working here, there have been a few changes: new desks, new computer monitors, new desk accessories, new printer etc. Now my boss is on a cleanliness kick. Mind you, our office is never messy, but now he is stressing that he wants everything nice and neat. The messiest thing in our office is his desk. He has paperwork everywhere, it gets so bad he can never find anything. And yet he's trying to tell me to clear the one stack of paperwork on my desk. My paperwork is in one neat stack in a tray on the corner of my desk. I know where all my things are. My desk is fine, worry about clearing your shit and leave me to it.
Flat hunting is getting on my nerves. Just when I think I'm getting somewhere something happens and screws everything up. But I haven't lost faith, I know I will find the right place soon.
My nephew's tantrums are getting worse now. The other day he got upset at my mum's house and wrecked her living room. He broke this massive glass vase, threw her plants all over the place and broke her glasses. He's getting extremely violent and aggressive. He even hit his father in the eye when he was getting him ready for school. He's been having "outbursts" at school that last for 45 minutes at a time. They have an appointment next week with the mental health department, so we'll see how it goes. I know they don't want to have to medicate him, so hopefully we can find another solution. That's another reason I want to move out as soon as, Meems doesn't need to be around that.
A kid at Meems' nursery has Measles. So all the parents are on alert and keeping an eye out for symptoms. So far she seems alright. Hopefully she'll be okay, she's had her first MMR vaccine and the next one isn't due until she's 3.
My mum's diabetes seems to be wreaking havoc on her eyes. She's found out her left eye is bleeding in the back. She has to go for a retina scan next month, hopefully it is something treatable.
Gotta get back to work.
