A Not So Merry Christmas

Remember how I said I wasn't really in the holiday spirit but I'd hopefully snap into it. Well there's no hope of that happening now.

I found out yesterday afternoon that my cousin had been in a terrible motorcycle accident on Sunday. He was in a critical condition in hospital in Bermuda. It didn't look good, according to my uncle, his brain was swollen and he was on a respirator. Then we found out last night that he passed away. He was my age. He had a young daughter as well. My uncle is pieces over this. Even though I haven't been in contact with that side of my family for years, it hit me hard. He was a young man with a bright future ahead of him and now he's gone.

It just goes to show that life really is short. We really must live each day to it's fullest.

It really doesn't feel like Christmas anymore.

R.I.P. Andrew. You will surely be missed.

wow.. I'm sorry for your loss. I always think about how dangerous motorcycles are when the spring hits and everyone is speeding down the highway.
