The Weekend

My weekend was pretty laid back until Sunday. I went to see Ocean's 13 on Friday. It was okay, but I did fall asleep during part of it. I stayed home on Saturday. I was supposed to go to a wedding but i wasn't in the mood. I didn't even really know the bride and groom. The bride is the daughter of my exhousemate's on/off boyfriend. I've never met her, so i couldn't be bothered to go. My mum went though, said it was alright. So I spent Saturday night chillin with J watching movies. Sunday I went on a day trip to Littlehampton with my daughter and some friends. On the way there our bus broke down and we had to wait for 3 hours for another one to come. Then by the time we got to the seaside, we only had about 2 hours before we had to leave. Everyone was told we would be leaving at 5:30 but you know there had to be some ass that was late. So we didn't leave until 6pm. Then on the way home one of the other buses we were travelling with, started to overheat, so everyone pulled over to wait on them. When our bus broke down they all left us there, but now we have to wait on them. So I didn't get home until 10pm. Mehalia (that's my daughter in case i didn't tell ya) had a good time though. She loved walking in the sand and eating ice cream. It was her first road trip and I'm glad she had fun. It was good to take her out somewhere. We're always in the house, she needed a change of scenery.

But I am so tired today. I didn't sleep much Saturday because i was up late with J and had to wake up early on Sunday. couldn't sleep on the bus yesterday. I need to catch up on some sleep.

In other news, my smart ass cousin has apparently got herself a job. She arrived here last Wednesday, had an interview on Thursday. On Friday she told me and my mum she was going for a walk, this was at 8pm. She didn't call and didn't come back until the next morning. She went sightseeing in central London and stayed out so late the trains stopped running, so she had to wait until the morning to get back home. I could care less. She's a grown ass woman, but my mum was worrying about her and she didn't have the decency to at least call and let my mum know she was alright. So while she was out on Friday, she saw a place that was advertising some vacancies. So she gave then her details. They called her and asked if she would come in Saturday night, so she went and didn't come back until Sunday morning. and the same thing Sunday night. Apparently the job is as a hostess for this restaurant and bar. My mum thinks it sounds a little fishy, but i don't care. She is 28 years old, if she don't have no common sense, then i can't give her any. As long as she don't bring no shit to my door, we're cool.

Can I Smack Her In The Mouth??

So about a month ago my aunt called my mum and told her that my cousin wanted to come to London to go to school. She was asking questions about what the visa process would be like and the prices of accommodation and such things. Fast forward... my cousin arrived this morning. And do you know the first thing she said to me..... "Boy you're fat!!" Now bear in mind she hasn't seen me in over 7 years. And I have had a baby. I'm not really that bothered because I know I've gained weight, and I'm fine with that. But could she have at least said hello first, thanks for letting me stay in your home, something civil. Why does the first thing outta your mouth have to be criticism? Yeah I used to be a skinny little thing, collar bone all popping out. I looked anorexic. I don't wanna be that skinny again. I like my body and I haven't had any complaints...until now. But anyway, so she's here and i think she said she starts school in October. all i wanna know is how long she is gonna be in my house. My relationship with my mum's family is complicated. For whatever reason my mum is like the black sheep of the family and that got passed down to her children. I don't really talk to my aunts and uncles. They don't call me and vice versa. My aunt only calls my mum when she wants something. My grandmother has never had anything positive to say about me or my brother or sister. But she is quick to ask me to send her some money though. I don't mind too much though, because I'm not really missing out on anything. But if she says one more snide remark....can i smack her in the mouth??
